- When I started taking safety precautions I also looked at DiskSalv and
- stupid me, in playing around I actually used the wrong filesystem to
- validate the HD with. Fortunately I could use DiskSalv again and could
- salvage all but 6 or so files out of approximately 10000. Maybe that's what
- happened? I did salvage to a second HD though, not an 'in the place'
- restoration.

- You definitely need to take a look at newer versions of DiskSalv (like 3+),
- it's worth it. AFS would be a good idea too if you have HD's frequently
- invalidating.
